ABACUS:
The abacus was invented about 5000 years ago in Asia.It was made of wooden rectangular frame with wires and beads.It worked by a system of sliding beads arranged on a rack.

JOHN NAPIER(1550-1617):
He was a Scottish mathematician.He invented a device made of cardboard.It was called cardboard multiplication calculator or Napier's bone.He introduces logrithem values on stick.
BLAISE PASCAL (1623-1662)
He was a French mathematician. BLAISE pascal invented a machine to help his father.It could only perform addition.This machine was known as Numerical Wheel Calculator or Pascaline.
BARRON GOTTFRIED WILHELM VON LEIBNIZ(1646-1716)
He was a German mathematician.He improved Pascaline in 1694.Now it could also multiply and divide by repeated additions and subtractions.It worked by a system of gears and dials.
JOSEPH MARIE JACQUARD (1752-1834)
In 1801 a French silk weaver and inventor JOSEPH MARIE JACQUARD invented the JACQUARD loom.It was controlled by the recorded patterns of holes in a string of cards.
CHARLES XAVIER THOMAS DE COLMAR (1785-1870)
Charles Xavier was a Frenchman.He invented a machine in 1820 that could perform the four basic arithmetic functions.This machine was called a Arithmometer.
CRALES BABBAGE (1791-1871)
He was a English mathematics professor.He made a machine in 1833 to solve mathematical equations.It was called a Difference Engine.It was powered by steam.After 10 years he invented another machine.It was the first GENERAL-PURPOSE COMPUTER.It was called THE ANALYTICAL ENGINE,It could add,subtract,multiply,and divide in automatic sequence of a rate of 60 additions per second.
GEORGE BOOLE (1815-1864)
He gave binary system of algebra.It was called a Boolean algebra.It states that any mathematical equation could be represented as a true or false.
LADY ADA AUGUSTA (1816-1852)
She was called the FIRST PROGRAMMER.She used punched cards to perform analytical engine.
HERMAN HOLLERITH (1860-1929)
American inventor,Herman Hollerith used punched cards for input and output in 1890.He invented a punch card tabulating machine.He was the founder of the company became IBM.
ANTANASOFF AND BERRY'S MACHINE (1903-1995)
Antanasoff was a professor at IOWA STATE COLLEGE and Berry was his graduate student.They made an electronic computer in 1939.They applied Boolean algebra in computer circuits.It was called ABC.Final model of ABC was introduced in 1942.
